Privacy Policy

The short version: this site doesn't use cookies, doesn't have user accounts, and doesn't run ads or third-party trackers. We collect anonymous page-view analytics, and whatever you send us through the contact form, and that's it.

Information we collect

Contact form. When you submit the contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide. We also store a SHA-256 hash of your IP address for a short period, used only to rate-limit spam submissions — we never store your raw IP address.

Analytics. We collect anonymous, first-party page-view analytics: the page path you visited and the referring site, if any. To approximate unique visits without identifying anyone, we generate a hash from your IP address and browser that rotates every day, so it can't be used to follow you across days or sessions.

What we don't do. This site has no user accounts, sets no cookies, and doesn't run any ads or third-party trackers of any kind.

How we use information

Contact form submissions are used solely to respond to you and, if applicable, to discuss the inquiry you've reached out about. When a new message comes in, our team is notified in a private Discord channel so we can reply promptly. Analytics data is used only in aggregate, to understand which pages people visit and where traffic comes from — it is never used to identify or profile an individual visitor.

Where it's stored and who processes it

We keep the list of services we rely on short:

  • Vercel hosts this website.
  • Supabase stores contact form submissions and analytics data in our database.
  • Discord receives internal notifications when a new contact form message arrives, so our team can respond.

None of these providers use your information for their own purposes — they process it only to help us run this site.

Retention

Contact form messages are kept until your inquiry has been handled, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Analytics data is kept in aggregate form to understand trends over time; the daily rotating hash used to approximate unique visits is not linkable back to you.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time by emailing hello@nodyst.com. We'll respond promptly and remove your information from our systems unless we have a legitimate reason to keep it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this site handles information, we'll update this page and the “last updated” date above. We'll only ever expand this policy to describe new practices accurately, not to retroactively justify anything different from what's described here.
